Tesla has unveiled a redesigned version of its electric Roadster, featuring rocket-style thrusters developed in collaboration with SpaceX, as the company targets production in 2028.
During a demonstration in Texas on October 15, the prototype showcased several unusual capabilities, including driving upside down on a specially designed ramp, performing an aerial flip and briefly lifting over other vehicles using its thruster system.

Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said the company expects to begin production in 2028, nearly nine years after it first announced the next-generation Roadster in 2017.
However, Tesla has yet to clarify whether the vehicle’s demonstrated capabilities, including its brief aerial lift, will feature in the final production models.

The unveiling has renewed attention on the long-delayed electric sports car, which Tesla has positioned as a high-performance vehicle with technology designed to push the boundaries of conventional automobiles.
