Segun Ogunwuyi has resigned as Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, effective Monday, October 12.
Ogunwuyi announced his resignation in a letter dated October 12, thanking the governor for the opportunity to serve the state.
He, however, did not disclose the reason for his decision.
In the letter, he described his time in government as an honour and praised the administration’s efforts to deliver on its promises to the people of Oyo State.
“Serving the Government and the good people of Oyo State has been a great honour. It has been deeply fulfilling to be part of the exceptional team that has worked relentlessly to deliver the remarkable achievements of this administration,” he wrote.
Ogunwuyi expressed pride in the administration’s achievements and confidence that the state would continue to make progress.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to Oyo State and Nigeria.
The former chief of staff previously served in the Oyo State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives.
His resignation comes amid reports that several aides to Makinde have left the state government in the past two months.
