American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly taken from prison to a hospital after suffering a head injury.

According to TMZ, Newspadi reports that, the 56-year-old rapper was taken from the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey at about 1 am local time on Saturday for medical attention.

Sources told the publication that authorities returned Combs to the prison grounds before sunrise on the same day.

However, the circumstances surrounding the reported head injury remain unclear.

The incident comes amid a series of controversies involving the embattled music producer during his time behind bars.

In July, reports emerged that Combs had allegedly been involved in a fight with another inmate.

More recently, prison authorities reportedly placed him in a special housing unit following allegations that he enjoyed privileges behind bars, including massages, access to alcohol and the use of a mobile phone to view nude photographs.

Combs also received a further reduction in his projected prison release date in September.

Although his initial release date was scheduled for May 8, 2028, reports indicated that authorities had moved it forward to January 21, 2028.

The founder of Bad Boy Records received a 50-month prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix last year after a court convicted him on two prostitution-related charges.

However, the court acquitted him of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.
